3 Yellow Moccasin Flowers stand along a wet bog area in a marsh. They have a beautiful and delicate design to their flowers and leaves. I added collage and texture to this watercolor. Shadows read as soft and beautiful with lovely colors reflected in the pooled water.

Today, Kathy, I am delving deep into your FLORAL PAINTINGS COLLECTION...in search of my favs...it appears I LOVE RHIZOMES AND TUBERS and variations thereof...and so...ORCHIDS are among my treasures of deLight,!...the interesting common thread I find in your work is GLOWing Colour!! While reading your descriptions, a smile curves as I recognize MAGIC words like “Delicate, soft, beautiful ”!! These yellow moccasin or yellow Lady Slippers as I know them ...await the Artist to compose the sounds of their colours on beams of soft Light that they might ...DANCE-in-place ...like a poised ballerina’s toe shoes!! They pose in the softness of their pond fringe reflection ....BRAVA! I used to “ visit” wild orchid lady slippers as a child in my pépère’s woodland atop the hill of meadow garden...it was ...MAGICal!... White, pink and yellow! It was always painful to leave them in their moist, rich, bark mulch-carpeted home...but we did...only to revisit two or three times for their brief Spring bloom season.LF thank you for beauty and memories...

How nice! Yes, my one time excursion was to a neighobrs' woodland - near their driveway and I was so excited to visit and photo the clumps of Moccasin flowers.
