Kathy Braud was awarded a Five Wings Arts Council Individual Artist Grant
after the Five Wings Arts Council recently reviewed grant applications Oct 2012 and awarded them mid-November.
This grant will be fulfilled in the year 2013.
Funding is available to individual artists in a five county area wishing to take advantage of arts related opportunities that will take their career as an artist to the next level. Projects include skill development, education, marketing, equipment purchase, etc.
Braud has been awarded seven grants from her arts council.... and feels honored. The attached Braud photo depicts Kathy with her 2012 award, the Holbein Award of Excellence Certificate and Merchandise Award in the Red River Watercolor Society's 19th Annual National Watermedia Exhibition, Hjemkomst Gallery, Moorhead, MN.

A great presentation of 100 watermedia paintings are on display in a fall member show titled "Reflections" by the Northstar Watercolor Society.

This year’s Red River Watercolor Society’s 19th Annual Juried National Watermedia Exhibition is now on display.
Juror Donna Zagotta has chosen the award winning paintings and revealed them at the Opening Reception.
The show will be on display June 17 – September 16, 2012 at the Hjemkomst Gallery, Moorhead, MN.
This beautiful show showcases all varieties of mediums and styles of watermedia paintings submitted from all over the USA.

June news!
This poppy painting, "September Orange Poppies," was the submission of Kathy Braud and received the most votes for the People's Choice Award for the First Place Painting at the Awards Presentation!

The Breckenridge Chapter House and Izaak Walton League hosted a free art show of Nature and Wildlife paintings, photographs and sculptures at the Breckenridge Chapter House, 8816 West River Road, Brooklyn Park, MN www.breckenridgeikes.org.
Kids Activities, Nature crafts, Music and Art/craft booths and mounted works and cards were available for sale also. People supported their favorite artist by voting - as there was a "People's Choice" ribbon. The event was held Friday June 24 - 26, 2011 with a Presentation on June 28 by Presenter: Don Luce of the Bell Museum Natural History.
