Artist's Description
I enjoyed painting this splashing spring waterscape tumbling down the river grade and swiftly roaring over the rocks. The tall trees cast shadows of dark green over the water in this wild up-north scenery in Minnesota. In the spring time of the year, there is so much water! And it is so swift! Reflective surfaces echo the brighter lights and colors as the natural energy of the water churns along and generates a white surf. Small rocks line the bottom of the river rapids, and can be appreciated through the water. This waterscape features the cool color shades of greens and blues.

With all the rain lately, the rivers can and do run this fast even late summer! And they are heading downhill! I have been enjoying the rivers and waterfalls coming in to Lake Superior of late. So beautiful!
