Description
I occasionally get to travel to places like this quiet graveyard in Minnesota with my husband, a genealogist, as he searches for distant relatives. This cemetery painting was different - not green and the land and surface was very dry.

Kathy, today’s contest tribute has taken me into some of the smaller collections...the nooks and crannies of an accomplished life portfolio where I love exploring because, most often, it is ...here....in the little spaces one often finds GREAT PEARLS of emotive work, pure...non-stylized aesthetic...soulfully revealed in the shadows of popular giants. Such is this diminutive ANGELS COLLECTION. I am deliberately choosing to offer these last to rest with today...and contemplate. Thank you for your shared vision, Kathy. Beautiful...LF
Kathy Braud replied:
The scenery is pleasant, the wind is quiet, Do those that sleep beneath these stones, remember their "before"? Is there angels that stay & comfort them until they meet their maker?

We live in the times when large gravestones will be past history.....and only memories will accompany us forward.

Beautiful use of color. The drought colored ground truly seems to join the generations. It is as if the dead is thirsting for knowledge of the living also. Such a beautiful cemetery. You truly captured the intimacy of the moment.
Larissa Antonova
In such a place, people often think about the existence of earthly values in life.
Kathy Braud replied:
Yes, Larissa, And freedom forever from space, time and body concerns of our earthy life.

This is a subject i have wanted to attempt myself. I love your color choices in this! l/f
Kathy Braud replied:
Thanks! Marsha! I thought it was very important to link - attach this landscape painting to the edges so to keep the eye interested in closer images.

Now our countryside cemetery is layered under the peaceful white snow with the whistling wind nearby.
