Description
I spotted this wonderful warm glow when a strong sunbeam illuminated the room. It was a path of dramatic lighting just waiting to be painted. I grabbed my camera and snapped some reference pics of the bright red and orange woven throw reflecting on my models dressed in greens. Oh! Such an enjoyable mirror effect of skin & clothes reflecting color over and over on everything . Revised in 2016.
Award winning in the Northern Showcase 2014 exhibition.

This Mother and Child in Red2 painting will be headed now this week to the art exhibition "Dimensions of Motherhood" May 4-27, 2016. So nice to have had it be accepted. This Central Minnesota exhibition will include recent artworks and printed literary works paired up and on display.
