Title
Ice Men Come Home
Artist
Kathy Braud
Medium
Painting - Pure Watercolor On Paper
Description
Fishermen trundle home, off of the frozen lake. Why are they all bundled up? The gear protects them from the wind and cold temperatures outside in Minnesota winters. Supplies, portable fish houses and fresh-caught fish are stored on the sleds.
Because the sun gives no warmth at this time of the day, mufflers get moist and covered with frost. The figures are out-lined from the strong sunlight of end of day and cast long shadows on the snow in front of them. Complementary colors of orange and blue really make this watercolor painting sing.
