Description
I found this lovely forest scene at sundown of lovely dark blues and greens while I was on a walk on the edge of town. The view was filled with yellow light peeking through the trees and leaves. Shades of burnt sienna warmed the landscape and set off the glow of the sunlit shadows. Note the small pond of water catching the sunrays and they radiate also from other joyous spots of reflection. I had very little time - to complete taking my reference photos as the sun was going down very rapidly. It was so beautiful!

The striking warm and cool tones balance each other perfectly, and I really like your interpretation of the scene. So creative! like/f
Kathy Braud replied:
Thank you, Anne. This was a real scene "down the road from us" and that sun was very determined to be going down. I loved the lights seen within!

Would LOVE to hear your experiences of working Light and Darkness, Form- formlessness, ...colour ...and your experience of THE FLOW! You always achieve BALANCE...BEAUTY...v...BEST to you
Kathy Braud replied:
Thanks, Laurel! I had captured a great photo before I ran out of sunlight. Once you have the tools, and the vision, it is easier to create according to your minds eye.

This was a fun adventure! Walking almost a mile to get "here" at the end of the day, as the sun does set so fast by this time, I had to really move in - on photos for reference. I wanted to see the sunshine. Glorious colors - happened to the branches and trees and watery ground.

Joyful colors of greens, blues, and yellows and orange radiating. I don't see landscape things like this very often - you have to go looking - and need sunrays..

Kathy Braud replied:
Thank you, Elizabeth! Glad you enjoyed! The sun was really settling fast and the colors and sky holes were in constant motion. Go for a walk and try out taking pics that catch your eye at the end of the day. Very interesting!
