Description
Circle of Life reflects on the topic of love and enjoyment that bicycles can give a person in a life time.
As a youth one uses a bike for fun and transportation. When in a father's shoes, a bicycle becomes the means to teach the children enjoyable maintenance skills and shared recreation. Then as a grandfather, these skills are used to keep the bicycles fixed and ready to roll.
My gentle model once had 100 bicycles for sale on his Minnesota lawn in the fall and most were donated to a charity for children. An award winning painting, this was my very first watercolor portrait. I photographed my father while he was working when he was unaware.

Love the expression on his face! Wonderful!

Thank you for sharing! This was a leap of art for me! Once the arms and face was on the paper, he ( my father) was alive on the paper! Wow!
