When I lived in the Vorhees forest in NJ, we had all sorts of wild animals in our back yard including black bear...their paw prints were massive and tree scrapings ...chilling! Hi Phyllis, I think I used mat medium to hold down some crinkled tissue and make crinkles to the setting. I have been a w/c purist in some ways for a long time. Thank you for your comment and support.

Hi all who enjoy wildlife, we live near the Pine Grove Zoo in Minnesota with nice new bear enclosure areas. Bears have modeled for me over the years when I visit the park. Then I usually paint from my photos. One year I painted 8 paintings of bears with one being given to the zoo for a raffle drawing award with funds toward their remodeling projects. That meant I was able to enjoy and display 7 new paintings that range from realistic to very playful, colorful and abstracted. Some are still available. Ask if interested.
